Hello, my name is Robert Taylor, I go by my middle name which is Scott, and I’m excited to apply for the peer support counselor position. My life experiences have shaped me into someone deeply committed to growth, empathy, and helping others overcome their challenges. I’ve faced and worked through significant obstacles, including trauma, addiction, mental health struggles, and personal setbacks, all of which have given me a profound understanding of resilience and the power of connection.

Over the years, I’ve focused on emotional regulation, self-awareness, and rebuilding relationships, particularly with my wife and daughter, which has been both humbling and transformative. These experiences have inspired me to share what I’ve learned to support others on their paths to recovery and personal growth. I believe that my ability to listen without judgment, offer authentic encouragement, and connect with people through shared experiences will allow me to make a meaningful impact as a peer support counselor.
