Community Engaged Peer Support

Peer specialists do meaningful and impactful work with individuals, families, and groups. Another key aspect of peer work is advocacy in the community, beyond the work we do in our respective organizations. Join us to learn more about engaging in community advocacy, committees and coalitions, and policy advocacy. There are many issues in our society that impact the work we do, and we have the lived experience and professional skills to be able to impact real change. By joining together with community partners, using our voice to advocate in public spaces, and building support together, we can demystify peer community advocacy and create real change in our daily work as peer specialists.
