About the event

Mental health and substance use recovery services play a vital role in student success. This session will cover the integration of school mental health professionals (i.e. school counselors, school psychologists, and school social workers), clinicians, and peer support specialists into the recovery school model. Also, participants will explore best practices with partnering with community-based organizations, implementing Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) and responding to crises. By the end of the session, participants will understand how to establish a comprehensive mental health support system within their schools.
