My name is Brayden Robinson and I am the program coordinator for the Utah Peer Network. We are an organization dedicated to supporting the work of peer specialists through seven key goals. Read more about this below.
We bring our peer specialist community together through connection, the same way you do for your clients and participants.
Pre-Certification
UPN creates a robust and thorough pre-certification process for new peer support applicants. We do this to better support and inform new peers about the training and the work they will do after training.
Training
UPN works with community partners to enhance available certification and training opportunities for all peer specialists. We support peers before, during, and after certification and throughout their careers, and identify and provide professional development support to peers and employers.
Support
UPN supports a diverse workforce of peers and employers to ensure equitable and inclusive treatment for all. We provide coaching, continuing education, specialization training, and group support for peer specialists and employers. Any peer specialist can schedule a support appointment with us on our website.
Employment
UPN supports peer specialists in all settings. We host a job board on our website for all peers and employers to utilize, provide job training and resume skill building, referral to employers, and much more. Check our job posting board regularly for new opportunities.
Outreach
UPN provides outreach and bridges gaps with peer community partners. We want to increase awareness of peer specialist issues and use our voice and platform to represent all peer specialists at all levels and provide resources to those that may feel their voice isn't being heard. We support you in advocating for yourself and the profession.
Records
We maintain records of training providers, jobs, peer specialists, and certification efforts throughout the state. This includes technical support and assistance, program development and support, specialization training, and organizational support and assistance, so you will always know where to go for the answers you need.
Development
UPN develops the peer movement through community collaboration. We work with community partners to advocate for peer representation throughout organizations, to share resources, and to eliminate resource gaps. We work with the state system to ensure peer specialist representation at every level and facilitate peer connections.
